Trans Wellness Ontario is pleased to offer our community a special virtual event Thursday March 31st 2022 to celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility! Please join us for a virtual event that will include guest speakers, a screening of the award-winning film Beauty: Beyond Binary by Christina Willings, and a follow-up discussion and arts-based activity.

Transgender Day of Visibility – Event Itinerary:
5:00pm – 5:15pm – Welcome & Opening Remarks
5:15pm – 5:35pm – Guest remarks on the importance of TDOV
5:45pm – 6:10pm – Screening of Beauty: Beyond Binary from NFB
6:15pm – 6:30pm – Discussion
6:30pm – 6:45pm – Introduce Arts-Based Activity
6:45pm – 7:15pm – Art Activity Time
7:15pm – 7:30pm – Sharing Time & Closing Remarks

Suggested Materials for Arts-Based Activity:
Paper, Mark-making tool (i.e., pen, pencil), colouring tools, and anything else you would like to use.

Transgender Day of Visibility occurs every year on March 31st to celebrate transgender lives! TDOV was founded in 2009 by Rachel Crandell as a local event in Michigan and is now celebrated around the world. This celebration also raises awareness about the systemic discrimination our community experiences.
